On December 6, 2003, I was privileged to take a business trip to Japan.

The view from my room had the potential of revealing Mt. Fuji. For much of my life, I have lived with images of Fuji. From seeing Hiroshigi's famous Ukiyoe series, "100 views of Fuji" and and an original pencil-signed print Hiroshi Yoshida's "View of Mt Fuji from Miho," which graces the wall in my bedroom.  Lo and behold, on the morning of a key meeting with a large Japanese company, there Fuji stood in all her glory going through the famous red first rays of light. With my new Fuji S-7000 digital camera I snapped away. Some of the reduced, tweaked, and cropped pictures are in this gallery.
